The reason that sovereign debt cannot fail is because the five largest US banks hold trillions of dollars of credit default swap OTC derivatives guaranteeing this garbage against failure.

If euro debt fails, the Western financial world implodes.

"QE to Infinity" and gold at $4500 is coming as sure as death and taxes.

The process of "de-levering" this humongous, unbelievable, never-been-seen mountain of totally toxic derivatives is what the world must pay for. The draining of the juice from the future of humanity took them over 25 years to create and eventually burst the bubble.
The 1% beneficiaries have already reaped. The 99% will continue to pay for as many decades as it takes, and with the always bought and paid for political entities at their command, this could take for all eternity. Such is the stupidity of the simple-minded multitude that just keeps on multiplying.
The exponential increase of the suffering of the ever-increasing many will ensure the further and further enrichment of the ultra-elite few until they own all of the very air that all living creatures breath.
It was their great great grandfathers that bequeathed to them this god-like power, which neither they nor their offspring can be or should be trusted with.
Now it is either you or them, and I will not put my money on you. However, since I am also affected, money becomes meaningless.

Problem solving 101 - Before any attempt to solve a problem can have a chance of success it is vital that the root cause of the problem is correctly identified and thoroughly understood.
Consequently even if the announced agreements are eventually implemented, they are with high probability of being useless.
The proffering of widely misconstrued smoke and mirrors is all that any political body with survival instincts can/will offer.
A systemic consequence originating from the EU is thereby unavoidable.
Expectations of avoidance by the USA and major trading nations due to US dollar 'safe haven' label appear flawed to an increasing extent.
The logical rules of problem solving and the related fundamental analysis of cause and effect cannot remain overlooked indefinitely.
Investors beware. The markets may not be allowed to get themselves ahead of the truth due to the new norm of ongoing Gx manipulation.
The nature of this inevitable 'systemic event' remains indeterminate. The cascaded freezing of most all accounts for an indeterminate period would be a probable consequence.

We are witnessing moral hazard over the top, the acceptance of the most dangerous risk. The objective is not remedy, but rather retained power by the banksters. No solution is even pursued. Too Big To Fail ensures no serious attempt to deal with the problems, no meaningful policy to encourage recovery, and a sinking toward systemic failure. Kicking the can into the cul-de-sac.
If QE is halted, then short-term yields rise and long-term yields rise. The result is a doubled borrowing cost for the US Govt debt. Not gonna happen! Inflation as policy will rule!!
The new US Economy cannot recover unless its housing market rebounds and revives. Housing was allowed to replace industry in function. Property prices need to fall to around 30% below construction costs. Housing is not a productive engine. Economies are not built on housing. Real value is not added by property. All is notional. Pricing action is prevented, hijacked, distorted, manipulated, abused.
The US economy needs to be re-industrialized, a process not even begun, not even considered.
Kick the can. Its a futile, boring job, but the rest of us are all in this together. Our Masters will not give up any of their ill-gotten power that we gave them.

But the few (banksters) were once again to regain their control and keep it to this day.

The creation of money by making the taxpayers indebted to those that reap from the fractional, interest-bearing commercial banking system has seen the plundering of the wealth created by the majority throughout its history. The people are made to be impoverished and their wealth and assets are taken from them by the accumulation of interest that results. This wealth is thereby transferred into the hands of a few, which further increases their control over everything.
When, in history, the money is created by the people for the people and thereby without interest there has always been prosperity. And where this has not been the case it was due to the organised subversion by counterfeiting at the hands of the banking system and power controllers.
The people have thereby created for themselves an enemy that is now more powerful than they are, and they are thus the masters of their own enslavement. Their enemy has now gained control of their lives and their minds, how they perceive their world and what they will or will not do.
